A little thank you

We believe a little thanks goes a long way, which is why we’re taking the time here to show some heartfelt gratitude towards all those who’ve helped us realise our vision of bringing The Old Red Lion back to its former glory and re-establishing the pub as your friendly local.

First off Anthony, Marcus and Elaine would like to express their genuine appreciation to The Old Red Lion team who demonstrate a passion for local food and community spirit on a daily basis through their unwavering excellence. We couldn’t be prouder of what’s been achieved by every member of the team, and no good deed goes unnoticed. So thank you all.

Secondly, from everyone at The Old Red Lion, we’d like to pay a huge thanks to all the guests who visit our humble public house and make it everything we hoped it would be: a friendly community hub where everybody is welcome. Whether you’re a previous local guest who has returned, or a new visitor, your custom is inspiring, and much appreciated.

Eat Out to Help Out

Whilst we’re on the subject of very happy customers, let’s have a quick chat about the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme, which the government has kindly put in place to help pubs and restaurants thrive during this trying time. We’re pleased to announce that this generous offer will be available at The Old Red Lion on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday throughout August.

If you’re not familiar with the scheme then here’s a handy rundown.

The Eat Out to Help Out Scheme offers a 50% discount up to a maximum of £10 per person, for people to spend on food or non-alcoholic drinks. There’s no limit on the number of times that a customer can use the offer in August, and alcohol, service charges, and takeaways are excluded. With COVID-19 in mind, we’d like to take a moment to reassure everyone that customer safety is still our number one priority, and our team is working hard, adhering closely to all guidelines and constantly reviewing procedures. We’re planning some further improvements including lighting to the outside dining terrace and outdoor heating, ideal for extending the evenings outside and all year round alfresco dining.
