Our team

I’d like to thank our teams that have been on furlough and have missed the opportunity to come to work and deliver a great hospitality experience. You’ll see some new faces in the pub both front of house and behind the scenes and they all look forward to meeting you. Some of our staff have moved on and we wish them well, especially our younger team that have managed to secure new roles to launch them into their chosen career however we’re fortunate to have an on-going supply of local youth keen to learn new skills and earn money. Learning and development is critical and there’s been training for the teams prior to opening on standards, new menus and wine tasting giving knowledge and confidence to assist our customers choose a great white, red or rose to pair with some of our new dishes prepared by our Chef team – please visit our website for the latest menus.

The best possible customer experience

Our customers are essential to the success of the pubs and it’s our aim and pleasure to create a warm welcome in a safe environment where you can enjoy a great range of quality, tasty fresh food and drinks.

Please be assured that we’ll continue to place hygiene and the safety of our customers as the utmost priority in order that you can feel safe and secure whilst you have fun and can socialise with friends and family.

Progressive pubs

After the winter months and being closed for so long, we’ve been busy with repairs and renewals to keep the pubs looking fresh. We’re planning a major kitchen refurbishment and expansion at The Old Red Lion, which we hope to complete later this year and we’d love to refresh both the interior and exterior at The Swan, whilst maintaining the charm and character. Our pubs offer different experiences, as well as different menus so we’d love to see you in both of our pubs; we’ll be firing up the BBQ at The Swan and you can still enjoy an authentic stone-baked Pizza at The Old Red Lion from our new Pizza Chef Adrian. Whilst it’s not essential to book in advance, it’s advisable to guarantee a table – we’re working to make it easier to book with an online solution however at the moment you can email or message via social media, as well as give us a call once we’re open.

Events

We’ve really enjoyed hosting a number of events in the pubs from birthday parties, baby shower and anniversary celebrations, as well as funeral and wedding receptions – please talk to us if you’re planning an event and we can tailor the space, food and beverage and decorations to meet your specific needs.
